IGSP Funds 'Next-Gen' Sequencing Studies
In an initiative designed to catalyze the growth of genome analysis at Duke, the IGSP has announced a series of seed grants to use “next-generation” DNA sequencing technology for studies ranging from basic biology to clinical medicine. Four new projects will explore the biology of the human genome, symbiotic relationships between two species, bacteria found in the intestinal tract of newborn infants and diversity in the Costa Rican rainforest.READ MORE

Sara Katsanis, M.Sc. from the Genetics & Public Policy Center at Johns Hopkins University will give a lecture on Fostering an ELSI bridge from genetic testing to law enforcement. The lecture will take place on Friday, October 10, 2008 at 9:00am in 2240 CIEMAS Building.
Center for Systems Biology Annual Symposium
The Duke Center for Systems Biology and the Duke Institute for Genome Sciences and Policy announce the 3rd Annual Duke Systems Biology Symposium, to be held on the campus of Duke University on Friday, October 10th 2008.
