An Introduction to NanoString Technologies

Please come join us to learn more about Nanostring technologies offered within the Microbiome Shared Resource. We have the Nanostring nCounter Max system that will enable one to enhance their immuno-oncology, cancer, neuroscience, immunology and inflammation and infectious disease research. The seminar is on September 11 from 3-4pm in room 2240 CIEMAS building.

Autoimmune Gene Expression panel grant program

Two awardees can run 24 samples using the autoimmune profiling panel of their choice (human or mouse) either through an nCounterĀ® Analysis System provided by their institution or through a service provider. NanoString will provide the reagents and a data analysis service to analyze the data output from the experiment in the form of a report that includes raw data and detailed analysis with figures and commentary.

Early Infancy Gut microbiota predicts the quality of vaccine-induced antibody responses in rhesus macaques

Dr. Sallie Permar and team are studying the emergence of a number of vaccine settings that commensal microbiota are linked to vaccine-elicited immune responses. We remain without a highly-effective HIV vaccine or novel strategies for pediatric HIV-1 prevention that move beyond ART-based therapy.
