We study nutritional control of development in the roundworm Caenorhabditis elegans.
The Baugh Lab is interested in the signaling pathways and gene regulatory mechanisms that enable the worm to reversibly arrest development and resist stress in response to starvation. Researchers in this lab are also interested in epigenetic mechanisms that mediate transgenerational effects of starvation.
Ryan Baugh graduated from University of Georgia with a B.S. in 1997 and earned his Ph.D. from Harvard University in 2004. He is an Associate Professor of Biology in Trinity College of Arts and Sciences.
