Erin L. Heinzen, PhD

Erin L. Heinzen, Ph.D. is an Assistant Research Professor in the Center for Human Genome Variation at the IGSP. She received her Doctorate of Pharmacy in 2001, followed by a PhD. in pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics in 2004 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She subsequently completed postdoctoral training studying receptor pharmacology at UNC Chapel Hill. Prior to joining the faculty in 2009, Dr. Heinzen was a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Professor David Goldstein, focusing on neuropsychiatric genetics and the impact of genetic variation on the transcriptome.
