Katie Garman, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine and the IGSP. She received her medical degree from Duke and completed both her internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Duke. During her chief resident year in internal medicine and during two research years of fellowship, she worked with Dr. Anil Potti in the IGSP, developing a predictor of recurrence in early stage colon cancer. She is now interested in genomic strategies in the evaluation of premalignant conditions of the gastrointestinal tract.
