  • The Duke Bioinformatics Workshop - August 18-20, 2008 - An intensive, 3-day course led by faculty including the IGSP's Holly Dressman, Phil Febbo, Terry Furey, Julie Horvath and others will cover:

Past Workshops

  • Affymetrix Seminar - Affymetrix, in association with the Microarray Facility, held the first Integrated Genomics Seminar Series at Duke University on June 19, 2008 from 10:00 am - 1:30 pm. The series featured presentations from experts in the use of Affymetrix technologies.
  • A Practical-Guide to Genome-wide Association Studies, March 18-19, 2008 at Duke University - The methods necessary to carry out genome wide association (GWA) studies are rapidly evolving. This workshop reviewed both the conceptual bases of GWA studies and described the software tools currently in use at the Duke Institute for Genome Sciences & Policy (IGSP).
