Want to get involved and tap into high quality mentors?

The IGSP Education staff mentors several individual students in course and major selection, identification of research opportunities, career exploration, and tools for academic success. If you are interested in these topics or want to learn more about opportunities in the IGSP, we are happy to help. Please contact our office to set up an appointment. In addition, Dr. Willard serves as the academic advisor for a limited number of Biology or Program II majors each year. Less formally, he is available to meet with any student interested in a research career.

The IGSP organizes information sessions each semester for undergraduates considering pursuing a research career and obtaining a Ph.D. in one of the sciences. These sessions address questions such as "how do I find suitable graduate programs?", "how do I fill out my application?", and "how do I find faculty to write me letters of recommendation?".
